PolarFire SoC - Industry's First RISC-V SoC FPGA Architecture

ARIES Embedded is proud to be part of the team of Mi-V Embedded Experts for the new PolarFire SoC architecture by Microchip.

Announced recently at the RISC-V Summit in Santa Clara, California, Microchip introduced its new PolarFire SoC architecture. The PolarFire SoC architecture, developed in collaboration with SiFive, supports five RSIC-V cores as well as a deterministic L2 memory subsystem, secure boot, 128K boot flash, extensive debug capabilities, an integrated DDR4/LPDDR4 controller and phy and rich IO.

ARIES Embedded offers hardware products (modular systems and custom designs), services for IP-development (such as the integration of RISC-V softcores) and software development (FreeRTOS, U-Boot, Linux) based on Microsemi's Polarfire FPGA and SoC families. ARIES Embedded operates RISC-V softcores on the PolarFire FPGAs under FreeRTOS with a development environment based on Buildroot.
